New Decree 2021-461

Industrial Plastic Granules

Prevention of the production of plastic granulate waste in the environment.

In the framework of the AGEC law of 2020, the decree 2021-461 of 16 April 2021 is implemented from 1 January 2022.

Industrial sites that produce, process, handle, transport plastic granules with a possible capacity of five tons for granules with a size between 0.01 mm and 1 cm are concerned.
So-called "procedural audits" must be carried out before January 2023 and repeated at least every three years.
They can be carried out in conjunction with or alongside the third party certification audit of the quality management system (ISO 9001, etc.)
