We were the first in 2003 to certify a biobank to ISO 9001, and we have remained so for the first certificate and the first ISO 20387 renewal, and will be present to support your development ambitions. First ISO 20387 certificate renewed

ISO 20387 certificate renewed at the CEPH biobank

We have just awarded the first renewal in Europe of CRB certification under ISO 20387 at the CEPH – Jean Dausset Foundation.

This first multi-standard renewal marks the start of the second three-year joint certification cycle, initiated in January 2020, in Biobanking and CRB, under ISO 9001/ISO 20387/NF S96-900, whether for public or private medical institutions, private hosting providers or research entities for biological resources of human, animal, geological or plant origin.

Thank you to our clients who continue to follow us in the pioneering deployment of ISO 20387 certification initiated three years ago.

Already thirty CRB sites certified by EQS

ISO 20387 certification, French leadership

In 2023, the threshold of thirty CRB sites benefiting from dual certifications
ISO 20387 and ISO 9001 delivered by Euro-Quality System (EQS) has been reached.

These CRBs are the vanguard of the pioneers who have been engaged in this approach since the first ISO 20387 certificate delivered in Europe in March 2020 by EQS.

Founded in 1990, Euro-Quality System confirms, thanks to its pioneering clients, its proactive positioning in the field of Biobanking.

The history of biobank certifications by EQS

In December 2003, the first ISO 9001 certificate was issued in France for a biobank with health and therapeutic purposes. From 2007, ISO 9001 certifications in research CRBs in France and West Africa. To date, more than fifty Biobanking sites certified under ISO 9001 and/or ISO 20387 and/or NF S96-900.

Euro-Quality System is also the only certification body to have issued ISO 20387 certificates for plant or animal CRBs.

New Decree 2021-461

Industrial plastic pellets

Prevention of plastic pellet waste generation in the environment

Under the AGEC law of 2020, decree 2021-461 of April 16, 2021 is implemented as of January 1, 2022.

Industrial sites that produce, process, handle or transport plastic pellets with a possible capacity of five tonnes for pellets with a dimension between 0.01 mm and 1 cm are concerned.
So-called “procedure” audits must be carried out before January 2023 and renewed at least every three years.
They may be carried out jointly or in addition to the third-party certification audit of the quality management system (ISO 9001, etc.)

As an organization accredited under ISO 17021-1, we are authorized to carry out these audits.

ISO 20387 standard — The French Trilogy certified

The recent ISO 20387 standard

is the international reference standard for the quality management system dedicated to biobank activities.

>> First in a private medical institution

On March 20, 2020, Euro-Quality System delivered the first ISO 20387 certification in France, to a private medical institution, the CRB of the Jean Dausset Foundation. Dual certification also with the ISO 9001 standard.

>> First in a public medical institution

On the following May 24, we delivered the first certification in a University Hospital Center under ISO 20387 at the CRB of Montpellier University Hospital. Triple certification also with ISO 9001 and NF S96-900.

>> First for a private provider

On December 8, 2020, we confirmed our national leadership in the field of biobank certification and research units managing collections, with the first ISO 20387 certification of a private provider of biological resource hosting. The company LinBox was certified under the following standards: ISO 9001, NF S96-900 and ISO 20387.

 

This third certification under ISO 20387 helps perpetuate the advancement of quality approaches by French CRBs with a certification applicable to the various Biobank structures.

With nearly one hundred sites certified for the quality management of biological resources under the ISO 9001, NF S96-900 or ISO 20387 standards. Euro-Quality System is proud to contribute to the valorization and impartial recognition of the quality of the expertise of French biobanks.

ISO 20387 — First in a University Hospital

ISO 20387 Biobanking – Certification in a University Hospital Center

On May 24, we delivered the first certification in a University Hospital Center (CHU) under ISO 20387

This certification was granted to the CRB of Montpellier University Hospital, jointly with ISO 9001 in addition to their ongoing NF S96-900 certification.
It covers all the activities and sites of the CRB of Montpellier University Hospital. The CRB becomes the first to hold certification under all three standards.

Through this first certification of a University Hospital CRB under ISO 20387, Euro-Quality System confirms its leadership position in biobank standardization.

Congratulations to the CRB teams of Montpellier University Hospital for this dual ISO 9001 and ISO 20387 extension.

ISO 20387 standard — First in France

ISO 20387 Standard

On March 20, we delivered the first certification in France, under ISO 20387, the international standard for a quality management system dedicated to biobank activities.
This certification was awarded to the CRB of the Jean Dausset Foundation – Center for the Study of Human Polymorphism (CEPH) – in addition to the renewal of their ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Through this first certification in France, under ISO 20387, Euro-Quality System strengthens its national leadership position in the field of certification of CRBs, Biobanks and research units managing collections.

With nearly 80 sites certified for the quality management of biological resources under the ISO 9001, NF S96-900 or ISO 20387 standards, Euro-Quality System contributes to the valorization and impartial recognition of the quality of the expertise of biobanks.
